Composite Tube Manufacture

We can manufacture custom carbon fibre tubes to supplied specifications or use in house composite tube design facilities to make tubing optimised for customers applications. Learn more about our manufacturing capabilities.

Composite Part Manufacture

We can manufacture and supply carbon fibre parts. With our heated platen presses, we manufacture composite sheet in-house and can mould parts with complex geometry using closed mould techniques.

Machining and Assembly

Using state of the art CNC machinery we can perform post-machining operations on composite tubes and parts. We can manufacture and sub-source additional components to provide part or full assemblies.

Automotive and Transport

CFT has established a considerable presence within the Automotive and Transport industry. We are at the forefront of composite innovation, manufacturing tubing and parts for companies within the Automotive, Rail and Transport Infrastructure sectors. Our work includes:

Marine

CFT have over 40yrs of collective Marine experience. We fully understand the marine environment, and sector-specific engineering requirements, which means we can design composite tubing that meets the performance needs of our customers. Our work includes design and manufacture of:

  • Paddle shafts
  • Masts and Booms (including oval tubes)
  • Superyacht fixtures
  • Tiller extensions and Spars
  • Tubes with epoxy resin systems (virtually zero water absorption) which are better suited to a marine application than lower-quality tubing made with vinylester/polyester resin systems.

Medical

Composites, particularly Carbon Fibre, are increasingly being used in the Medical Technology sector due to their unique combination of strength, lightweight properties, near-zero thermal expansion and biocompatibility. The use of carbon fibre in medical applications is also expanding into diagnostic areas, where their radiolucent properties render it an ideal material for scanning and imaging equipment. CFT work with a range of customers within the Medical Technology sector, and have experience of:
